A guitar is a personal thing and it should play right for you, seeking the lowest action or the flattest neck isn't always right. I will set up your guitar so it plays right for you.

A setup includes - a quick assessment of how you play, so that the neck adjustment, intonation, string, and pickup height are adjusted specfically for you. I will also give a general clean-up and check over.

Provide your own strings, or I can add them to the cost.

Set up includes adjustments to neck, action, intonation, fret clean, fret levelling, minor nut work, general cleaning and oiling of the rosewood board, checking over and cleaning of the electrics and other minor work.

Prices do not include strings, but note that there is a wide range of strings available at a discounted price when used in any work.

Price examples:

Installation of a full set of pickups in a Strat, including rewire: £120

Installation of a full set of pickups semi-hollow guitar with access through the F holes: £180
Includes a standard setup (neck adjustment, fret polish and board oil if needed, action, intonation, minor nut and fret levelling) but does not include pickups (which we can help you source).

Full rewiring (with a 50% discount on setup): includes new pots (CTS as standard), capacitors (orange drop as standard but can be upgraded to various paper in oil caps), a new jack socket, a new selector switch (CTS as standard), hand-wired clean wiring, fitting and testing.

Full rewiring and upgrade service for Jazzmaster and Jaguar guitars (aimed at making the various switching options more usable): starts at £140

All other electrical mods and rewires are available, including some of the more complex setups used on various guitars, such as Ibanez.

Installing most hardware (such as a new bridge) will have to include a standard setup.
